Isn’t this the cutest midi dress? This ice blue midi dress is so comfy and under $50! Its fitted with some stretch, which definitely allows some curves to come thru. But, is also comfy to wear! I kept this look simple with nude pumps and clutch. This is definitely a less is more situation and I love it. Anyways, this particular shoot was so much fun. Getting the flower petals to fall just right was no easy feat. I think this shoot shows its ok to laugh and let your hair down, even if things don’t turn how as you planned. If you can’t tell from the pictures, I am excited! Always Fashionably Late, a fashion and style blog created by me turns one this month!! Its funny, I always followed other bloggers and thought “hmmm maybe I can do that.” But, was too nervous, too unsure of myself to ever say it out loud. Do you have dreams or aspirations that you are scared to speak out loud? Loud enough for others to hear and know your thoughts? Well, I remember when I finally spoke it out loud to my husband as we were out for our anniversary dinner in October of 2014. I just had Camille in August and we were out celebrating on our first date without baby. When I was on maternity leave with Camille, the desire to do something I truly enjoyed became more real. I was able to spend time with her and enjoyed every moment. I dreaded leaving her to go back to work. I knew that I would be returning to a job where I was not fulfilled. I needed to do something for me! So it was time to vocalize what I had in mind to my husband and he said to me, ” Yeah, I think thats a good idea. Do it!”
Well, then! After that response, a few months later I got a move on my blog. April of 2015 my blog went live! Check out my first blog post! Here I am, a year later and I can honestly say I am SO glad I got out of my own way and started my blog. I’ve learned so much along the way and it excites me! It moves me to do something I love! I love putting together these outfits and see people who love it as much as I do. I love meeting fellow bloggers here in Dallas and around the world who I may have never met before, but formed a unique bond with because they understand the blogging struggle. Blogging is A LOT of work. It takes time, energy, patience.You do every single thing related to getting your blog posted and promoted. Unless you got someone to do it for you (I’m not there yet). But, I’m speaking that out loud too!
