You guys can you believe this summer midi dress is under $30?? Its been marked down and I strongly suggest you pick this beauty up. The color block detail and the gorgeous coral and peachy tones makes for a gorgeous summer midi dress! Its truly a stunner!

I’ve recently discovered that shades of coral, peach and tangerine always looks so amazing against my skin tone. So I decided to keep an eye out for any pieces in those tones to add to my wardrobe. As you can see, this summer midi dress looks amazing on dark skin! Also, the cute cut out back detail just adds a little something special to gorgeous dress that I love! I’m so happy I found it. Be sure to grab it before it sells out! Its truly an amazing deal!

I decided since this midi dress had color block detail, to add in some pop of color or a contrast color to pull this look together. I went to my old faithful mint green acrylic earrings I’ve had for a few years and my go to mint green clear vinyl bag!

Have I mentioned how much I love my clear vinyl heeled mules? I swear they go with everything and elongates the legs beautifully. Check them out in my prior post! I would strongly suggest to give clear heels a try! You’d be amazed how easily it goes with basically everything, making it super effortless too!

Hey Loves!

I simply love this summer nude outfit in today’s post! This is one of those outfits that comes together by accident. I purchased this Zara tulle top a few weeks ago and was trying to figure out how to style it… without pairing it with jeans! So I dug thru my closet and found my gold satin palazzo pants I bought a few months ago that I wore on the blog. I swear my closet sometimes is like the sunken place. It hides things from me that I didn’t know I had. Don’t you hate when that happen?

Anyways, the monochromatic look is always in. When you think of monochromatic, we typically think of all black. But, any color looks amazing!! When I paired the gold pants and this tulle top together the thought “nudes of summer” came to mind. I kept it simple by wearing my Zara clear mules and my shell clutch bag and bam, this look was born!

A summer nude outfit is so timely because the summer season is perfect to pull out those pale nude tones. Whites, golds, blush pinks are perfect summer nudes! Also, you cannot deny how those shades pop against dark skin tones. Yes, ladies this summer nude outfit will have you standing out from the crowd that’s for sure.

What did I wear under my sheer top?

Also, lets talk about how great my “nude” bra from True & Co blended with my skin tone to create an almost “nothing there” look! Another accidental pairing! True & Co was kind enough to send me a few bras to try out from their “True Body” line and I picked the “cinnamon” color because I wanted a nude tone more closer to my skin tone.

The day before the shoot when I was trying to figure out what to wear under this see thru top, it suddenly occurred to me to wear this bra! It worked perfectly! I certainly recommend checking out True & Co for bras, they are truly comfortable and have been my go to bra since receiving them!

I think this may be one of my favorite all time looks! Everything just flows perfectly together. Even the crazy wind that kept moving my hair all over the place. Hey, it made for such fun pictures so I’m not even mad!

The Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale is back again and I feel like it just left! If you are not aware, Nordstrom’s runs anniversary sale each year featuring select Fall & Winter items at a reduced price. For those of you who like to shop ahead of the season, this is the perfect sale for you. If you are like myself and its too hot to think of boots and coats, then you probably will pass and wait until it gets cold enough lol.

I typically don’t shop the sale or give it too much thought because every blogger and their mama is talking about “what you NEED” from the sale. Its honestly quite annoying and I find myself rolling my eyes at every cardigan and bootie that is being put in my line of sight.

When I shop the Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale, I like to pick up one or two pieces that I feel is unique and something I can wear even during the summer months. At least then I can wear it now instead of waiting until November when it gets cold here in Dallas.

Anyhoo, I did a poll on my Instagram (are you following me there, you should) to see if you guys wanted a roundup of my Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale picks and over 80% said YES! So here we are! I decided to do an under $150 round up to keep it more on the affordable side and make it less overwhelming to shop. I think my picks are pretty versatile, unique and to the point! What do you think?

When I came across Texican Court hotel right here in the Dallas area on Instagram, I immediately fell in love with its retro vibes and stunning decor! As an influencer or blogger, aesthetics are everything when it comes to making a look stand out. I often scour Instagram or the web for a fabulous location to shoot, that will not only inspire my outfit looks, but inspire and intrigue my audience as well.

Texican Court, a Valencia Hotel, is a boutique hotel located in Irving, Texas which is not far from Downtown Dallas. It offers a vintage, motor court hotel vibe with bright pink doors and three courtyards throughout to enjoy. There is a courtyard featuring fire pits, swimming pools and outdoor restaurant patio! Its truly a unique gem and an Instagrammer’s dream for pictures. There’s so many wonderful areas to take pictures throughout the hotel. It was perfect for my “Summer Vacation Outfit Ideas” series that I created for you guys in my last few posts!

Not only is the exterior stunning, but the interior hotel rooms are beautifully decorated as well. The retro vibe decor with splashes of modern touches are carried throughout the rooms as well. I mean, did you see the orange SMEG refridgerator stocked as a mini bar? How about the most adorable wardrobe to hang all of your gorgeous outfits to wear during your stay? Texican Court is certainly a hotel you should visit, rather you book a stay or enjoy dinner at “Two Mules Cantina” with live music on Fridays and Saturdays. Also, check out their “Tequila Bar” for tequila tastings or a good cocktail. Its certainly worth checking out!

Affordable Swimsuit Cover Up for Only $20?!

So lets talk about this affordable swimsuit cover up for only $20! Its another amazing Amazon find and when I tell you I am obsessed with it, there are no lies told, ok! It reminds me of a Trina Turk or Mara Hoffman collection vibe with the vibrant print and pattern. When I got it in the mail, I was so pleased with it. I also found a few other affordable swimsuit cover ups in gorgeous prints for $20 bucks too! So be sure to check the carousel above for more great affordable swimsuit cover up options.

Another thing I like about this affordable swimsuit cover up is the length. You can wear this around the hotel, beach side restaurant, resort or even the grocery store and still feel presentable around whomever. I can’t wait to wear this cover up again really soon. Its such a good piece, don’t miss out on this one ladies.

Chic One Piece Cut-Out Swimsuit!

I purchased this ASOS cutout swimsuit about two years ago. I absolutely love it. One piece swimsuits are my jam as I am not too comfy revealing this belly I’ve acquired from eating too many carbs and Starbucks frappucinos lol. Anyways, I was able to find an exact dupe of this swimsuit for only $35!! I am strongly debating getting the olive green color myself!

How To Accessorize Swimwear:

Shoes: We cannot forget the shoes, am I right? Sure, you’ll most likely wear flip flops or pool slides to the beach. But, I just had to rock these stunning shoes. I scored these orange faux suede lace up wedges at Forever 21 folks. Let me tell you, Forever 21 is where its at for some great summer sandals. I almost returned these babies because I am trying to do better about my shoe addiction. But, a magic moment occurred when I realized how fabulous the shoes would go with this swimsuit cover up for this look. If these wedges are still in stock by the time I post this, you better get them ASAP. They are already selling out fast!

Chic Nude Tone Sunglasses!

Sunglasses are most certainly a summer necessity. My sunnies are old Bobbi Brown (not the singer, but Bobbi Brown Cosmetics) that I scored at Nordstrom Rack two years ago. I was looking for a pair of nude sunglasses, but couldn’t find any that popped against my skin tone until I came across these. I am sad that I can’t find these online for you guys, but I’ve linked a few dupes that may work. They are one of my favorite pairs of sunglasses as they are so chic, looks really good on and comfortable to wear.

Find fun accessories that stands out!

Fun accessories always elevate any look if you ask me. For this series, I tried to go for a more editorial, magazine type vibe in my outfit selections and location. So I chose fun & unique accessories to add to my looks such as this adorable rose gold pineapple tumbler and remixing my clear vinyl bag by placing fun editorial magazine prints of the fabulous, Rihanna on the front and back of the bag!! It was fun to see this series come to life in the pictures and outfits and I hope that translates to you as well.

Its basically Summer time here in Texas which means its time to pull out all of our summer fashions! When I think of summer, I think of fun beach, cruises or poolside vacations. I decided to do a round up of fun Summer Vacation outfit ideas as a blog series over the next few weeks. I hope you enjoy it! If you’re like me, you always search for good summer vacation outfit ideas for an upcoming trip. Every piece in this summer vacation outfit idea series will be workable pieces you can wear time and time again. And of course affordable options that just looks darn good!

You guys, I think this is my first swimsuit post that I ever did on the blog. I guess its about time, right? This Adore Me black swimsuit is so good you guys! I always feel super confident wearing a one piece swimsuit. I personally feel that the cut out detail makes it a little sexy, but still flattering and not too over the top.

As you can see, the basis of this look is a neutral theme. Its easy & simple basics that doesn’t require much thought. Its best to have easy cover ups that will take you from the beach or pool to lunch or shopping if you are at a resort or hotel. My linen shirt and linen pants are perfect as they’re both lightweight and breathable. Pair this look with an adorable straw beach hat and over sized sunnies and you’re golden!

A Spring blazer is quite essential as the weather is fickle and is always hard to tell if you need a jacket or not. So I thought I’d share one of my fav blazers from Zara from last year. This is a great example of a spring blazer because the color exudes the season. Unfortunately, this blazer is no longer available, but I rounded up some amazing spring blazer options I think you would love.

Linen would be my fabric of choice for a spring blazer as it is lightweight and breathable. So majority of my selections are linen! Yes, they may wrinkle a bit but if you can find a linen blend blazer, that could be a great option to avoid heavy wrinkles as well.

My high waisted denim jeans are amazing don’t you agree? I shared these Charlotte Russe jeans a few months ago on my Instagram and everyone fell in love with them. Unfortunately, Charlotte Russe is out of business, although they are supposed to return under new management from my understanding. In the meantime, I did find some dupes for you. My denim is more of a skinny jean and has a lot of stretch. The dupes I found are not a skinny fit, so keep that in mind when you are shopping.

I hope you have a wonderful Mother’s Day weekend if you are a mom! Thank you so much for the kind words of love I received on my last blog post. It means the world to me to receive encouragement from such a great community of women.

I usually encourage every year for Mother’s Day for those of you who are blessed to still have your mother here to show them and tell them how much you love and appreciate them! I know some may not have a great relationship with their mother due to whatever issues or what have you. But, don’t take their being here and alive for granted. Those of us like myself who do not have the pleasure of having their mother living and breathing on Earth would love to share one more Mother’s Day, one more hug and one more kiss. It is my prayer that you share in this day in joy, laughter and smiles!

Ok one last slip dress post, I promise! This is the black & white polka dot cutie I told you about in my last post. This black & white polka dot slip dress is another Zara find and under $50!! How great is that? I decided to wear the slip dress alone in this look as the polka dot print is bold enough to wear alone. Slip dresses are so comfortable as they are generally loose and fluid. And who doesn’t like the feel of satin on their skin? I know I sure do love it!

Whats unique about this polka dot slip dress is the print itself. Most slip dresses are a solid color, but this of course has polka dots. Polka dots to me are very whimsical and fun. There’s nothing wrong with that combination if you ask me. How do you feel about polka dots? Do you love or hate them?

This $30 Zara Polka Dot dress is amazing! I happen to spot this gem online and wanted to try it because it looked so great on the model. The fit, length, color and overall look caught my attention. I could not wait to receive this polka dot dress in the mail because I was hoping it was everything I wanted it to be. Well ladies, it most certainly a great find and I suggest you order it ASAP!!

I ordered this Zara polka dot dress in a size small as I am a size 4. I was considering ordering the medium, as sometimes fitted items from Zara can run a little tight. However, the fit on this dress is just right! It has a little bit of stretch to it so it hugs the curves perfectly, but its still so comfortable!

This is a dress you can wear casual or dressed up. In fact, Saturday night I wore this same outfit to dinner with a friend, but added a denim jacket to tone it down a bit. I know this is a dress I’ll be reaching for all summer. It does come in 3 other colors so I may pick it up in Black and White. This dress is just so cute. I love it so much!

If you couldn’t tell already, I have become obsessed with dresses for Spring! I want to add a few more maxi dresses and casual daytime dresses to my wardrobe. I’ll be sure to share any other great finds that come my way as well!

Its another amazing spring dress!

I’m back at it again with another spring dress find. This striped wrap front dress is such a steal right now as its only $10!! Its no longer available online, but I am sure if you go into the store you will be able to find it. Wrap dresses are one of my favorite dress styles, so when I saw this striped wrap dress I knew I had to have it! The fit is amazing and the price point is even better. Don’t you love when that happens?

This stripe wrap dress reminds me of a men’s dress shirt and I think that’s another reason I fell in love with it. I love how it translates from a menswear type vibe to a feminine one because of the wrap style and how it fits the body. Oh and we cannot forget how you get a little leg action too! I like to call this dress sexy classy. Which is a pretty good killer duo if you ask me!

Do you have your Easter dress yet? I can’t believe Easter is already upon us. I just picked up Camille’s and Xavier’s Easter outfits yesterday. But, I have no idea what I am wearing just yet. Its a little more challenging for me because since I am still breastfeeding, I can not wear just any style dress. I have to wear something that is “easy access” for Xavier which makes things a little more challenging. The joys of breastfeeding I tell you!

Anyways, I wish you a wonderful Easter weekend with your family. In the midst of all the Easter bunny and egg hunts, let us not forget the real reason of Easter! That Jesus Christ died upon the cross for our sins so that you and I can live this life! Its truly something to reflect upon and be thankful for!
