I don’t know about you but Fall is my absolute favorite season. The crisp air, changing leaves and Pumpkin Spice or Apple anything is a win for me. Not to mention, Fall fashion is THE best, period! Anyways, I love bringing Fall decor into the home. We did some updates to our patio this Spring. So I was finally able to unbox this bar cart that I bought two years ago. Yes, that’s a long time to have something and not use it. Plus, I happened to have gotten this bar cart on MAJOR sale. So, I knew its day would come where we could finally make use of it. And here we are. So, let’s get started shall we?
Pick a Color Theme
I wanted to style my wicker bar cart for Fall using rich, jewel toned colors and shades. I did not want to do the typical orange, but something a little more luxe and modern. I stumbled across the green and purple eucalyptus garland at Target and fell in love with the shades. Target also had the gold wreath frame that you see here, so I intertwined the garland through the holes to make my wreath. I stopped there with decorating the wreath, but you could also add a sign with Fall inspired theme, pin cocktail recipe cards, of fun sayings to the wreath as well. Check out your Target Bullseye/Dollar Spot for more decor at an affordable price!
Also, as you can see I added gold as well to add to the warm, rich green and purple colors to my theme. The gold hurricane lamp, white & gold tray and even the gold in the Moscow Mule copper mugs compliment my color theme perfectly!
Add Fall Inspired theme to Bar Cart
When styling this bar cart, I did not want to do the typical pumpkin decor. I mean, I love pumpkins and all, but I wanted to do something different. Pumpkins are all the rage these days, but it seems like we forget about apples and their wonderful contribution to Fall. Am I right?
As a child, growing up in the Midwest, Fall meant field trips to the apple orchards and going apple picking. So I decided to incorporate apples into my Fall inspired bar cart as it reminded me of great, childhood memories. I found this adorable bushel basket at Walmart for under $6! I picked up some green and red apples to add to my basket. I also used the apples as a garnish to my Caramel Apple Moscow Mules shown in the pictures. Yes, it tastes as good as it sounds!
Add Height & Group Items for a Styled Bar Cart Look
My tip for styling a bar cart is to add height and group your items into sections. As you can see, I placed all of the Mixers and Liquor together on a white tray. It adds contrast and also makes the bar cart looks more organized and styled. Also, while at Target, I spotted small, brown wooden risers that I used to elevate my flower arrangement. This helps things to not look so flat and one dimensional. So if you can find trays, cocktail books, vases or anything around your home to add height and dimension to your bar cart, use them! They’ll look great on your bar cart and will give a finished look!
Well, I hope you enjoyed this post! I hope it inspired you to get excited for the Fall season and decorate your home. Do you have a bar cart or bar in your home that you can decorate for Fall?
