Ankara fashion! Have you heard of Ankara yet? Well, let me tell you, if you haven’t, you need to know about it. Ankara fashion is taking the world by storm!! Ankara simply means “african print” where bold, beautiful fabrics come together to make something amazing! Which is simply what this skirt is, AMAZING!!
My good friend Ashley is the owner and designer of “Whimsy Luxe“, a skirt company! I met Ashley YEARS AGO when we were both planning our wedding! We “met” on a wedding forum. Yes, we were those brides who were really hands on lol. This young lady started her tulle skirt company a little over a year ago and is KILLING IT! I was so excited when she added Ankara prints to her skirt collection. As soon as I saw this print on Ashley’s Facebook, I immediately messaged her and told her to make me one STAT!! Whats great about her brand is that you can customize your skirt too! Knee length, midi or maxi, pockets or no pockets, its all up to you!! I was so blown away by the quality of the skirt and how well it was made. The gold zipper, soft gathers of fabric and stitching is simply AMAZING!
When my photographer and I were shooting this skirt, this lady walked over to me and asked if she could take a picture of it. She said she saw me from the window of her salon and had to come ask me where did I get this gorgeous skirt. I even had a few cars stop and honk or say “WOW!!” So if you are ready to turn a few heads, this skirt is THE ONE!
