What to wear to the airport? The night before my trip, I ask myself this question because its quite important. Comfort is key and it’s especially important if I am traveling with Camille. The days of wearing heels to the airport are long gone for me. I tried that a few times and regretted it immediately. Since then I would reach for flats, but now that I have a child, sneakers it is! I am not a sneakers kind of girl, so thats saying something if they are a must-have for me when traveling. I need to be able to move about comfortably, have great foot support, be able to quickly put my shoes on and ready to carry my child in the event the stroller is just not her jam that day. Thats that mom life for you!
Anyhoo, this look is perfect for travel! This sweater is super soft and great for layering. I realize its now fall/winter for some of you where you life. But, you can easily layer with a leather or suede jacket, a thin long sleeve or thermal underneath this sweater, a scarf and you are good to go. My leather leggings are super comfortable too. The back of them are fabric so it gives me great mobility and stretch. These are old Forever 21 leggings, I have linked a few for you below as well.
For those mommies out there who are nursing (boy I know all about that, I nursed for a year) this top is perfect to wear when traveling with your baby. You can wear your nursing bra or tank underneath and easily reach under to unsnap. The neck is also wide enough to where you can peep inside to see baby! I know how those nursing capes are, Camille hated being under one. But, with this one being an actual sweater, that makes it near impossible to do unless your little has super strength. Who am I kidding? Most of them do lol.
Most importantly, you need a good tote bag to carry all of your gear. The St. Anne tote from Barrington Gifts is a great travel companion. I carried it on our trip to New York and loved it. Its very roomy! I stuffed lots of things inside and still had room. For me, its always important to have pockets in a tote bag. This one does not disappoint, there are side pockets that held my phone, cell phone charger, card case and a few more things. Most importantly, I loved that I was able to customize my tote bag! I chose the print, color of the leather straps, monogram style and color of the stripe too!! I am all for making pieces my own!! Don’t you? Barrington Gifts also has great diaper bag options as well in case you are interested! So check them out!
I hope this post has given you style inspiration on what to wear to the airport. Traveling is fun, but we want to be at our most comfortable as well. Who knows how far away your gate is from security or how long you are standing in the security line right? But, you can still look pulled together and comfortable at the same time! Thats how I like to travel. In style!!
