It’s my shoe closet reveal!! You all know I love shoes, I’m a certified shoe lover! Our closet in our master is simply not big enough to contain my shoes. Thankfully, my husband was on board with using our spare bedroom as my shoe room. I purchased these Ikea bookcases and vanity table about 2 years ago (right before Camille was born) and that’s all that was “done” in this room. Once Camille arrived, all home projects came to a halt. So I haven’t gotten around to finishing my shoe closet until now.  The unfortunate part about it, is that I won’t have this room for much longer once we start trying for baby #2. So my shoes will probably get crammed into our guest room. Sacrifices! Until then, I am enjoying this glam shoe closet/vanity space I’ve created!

How To Achieve My Shoe Haven:

  1. Focal Point Of Interest: I’ve wanted to do a gallery wall above my vanity for the longest! I didn’t want a big mirror on the wall, I like my small vanity mirror that gets up close and sometimes a little too personal lol. I am so thrilled with how it came out! I wanted my gallery wall to say glam!! So I took to Etsy to find wall art that spoke to me. There are so many cute options out there!  I linked all of my prints so you can purchase them and a few more that I am still drooling over! Don’t want to drill a bunch of nails into your wall? I used Command picture hanging strips! They definitely work!
  2. Storage, storage, storage: You can never have too much! I’m a girl who loves her jewelry and makeup. Storage is super important to have everything I need in one place. I had my makeup storage case for a while, it’s actually two acrylic storage containers stacked on top of one another. I also needed storage for my most loved jewelry and  sunglasses. I know you want to know where did I find these amazing acrylic cases?! “At Home” to the rescue! These acrylic storage containers are absolutely PERFECT!! I searched high and low on the internet for acrylic storage cases like these. The price is super affordable too and is just what I needed. Score!
  3. Unique Finds: Prada Marfa anyone? I happened across this piece on Instagram and had to purchase immediately! I needed something on that wall and I wasn’t quite sure what that would be. This was the perfect unique piece to add to the room.  I also love this glamorous, mirrored nightstand from “At Home” too. It was love at first sight! It adds just the right touch of sophistication and glam to the space, without it being “too much.” It also comes in black too, so if you have an “At Home” near you, be sure to check it out!
  4. Use Bookcases as your shelves: The greatest Ikea hack ever!! These bookcases are so affordable and perfect for a shoe closet project like this. They also come in other colors too!! My bookcases were pretty easy to build and I can adjust the shelves or buy additional ones if need be. Two thumbs up!
  5. Statement Rug: I think this was the hardest decor decision I had to make in this room. I didn’t know what color I wanted and ordering a rug online can be daunting. A circular rug was a must in my opinion for a small room. I scoured the internet for the perfect one and I believe I found it at Overstock. The only con regarding this rug is that it does shed a bit. However, I love it and how it lifts the space!! I linked a few other options for you to check out as well!

How do you like Little Ms. Camille? It was the cutest thing ever shooting with her! She is generally super shy when we get our pictures taken. I’m not sure if she remembered my photographer from our last shoot or the fact that we were at home that made her so comfortable. But, as soon as we walked into my shoe room, she sat in middle of the floor with Elmo and began to smile and pose. She completely took over the shoot! LOL. There were so many great images of her, it was hard to choose! Camille was ready for her close up, maybe modeling is in her near future?

If you have any questions about my shoe closet, please make sure you check out the images above!! I have linked as many of the products shown underneath the images. Of course, I’m always open to any questions you may have so please comment or email me!

Does this closet give you #closetgoals? It sure does for me 🙂

See you soon for my next post!
