Bonjour!! Am I in Paris strolling the banks of the Sienne River? Touring historic museums and having a cappuccino at the quaintest cafe’s? I wish! I’m right here in Dallas lol. My fellow fashion blogger friend, Melody and I had this perfect location in mind for a bistro/cafe themed shoot and I am so obsessed with how it came out. The weather has finally chilled down a bit in Dallas, so I pulled out all of my fall necessities to make the look. The fedora hat, camouflage scarf, leather leggings and the perfect fringe booties all came out to play! It felt so good to finally layer and put on warmer clothing for the shoot.

Melody and I also had brunch here. We ordered up two lavender cappuccinos and started our blog shoot. Special thanks to Mercat Bistro for being so amazing and letting us shoot here with the most courteous and friendly staff. Mercat Bistro also has the yummiest food! I had the Strawberry & Marscapone Crepe and it was so good! Be sure to check them out if you’re in Dallas!

Fall’s Best Vests!!

The weather is finally changing and cooling down a bit in Dallas. It’s the perfect time to start layering and adding stylish fall vests to your closet. I love vests for this reason and there are so many great, affordable options out there to build your fall wardrobe with. I love that these vests are neutral in tone and can work with so many outfit options. You could layer them with a long sleeve sweater or t shirt with jeans or leather leggings, or edge up a knit dress by topping it off with a vest as well. Fall vest’s are my go- to as the weather turns crisp and chilly. I can’t wait to pull out mine to wear for the Pumpkin Patch this weekend!!

Happy Sunday friends!

I love this easy, casual look in today’s post! This is my version of a go-to brunch outfit for fall. Ripped jeans, comfy metallic flats, statement handbag and the multi-purpose blazer makes the look! I’m also a girl who loves her logo tees and this Old Navy tee is right up my alley. I think a logo tee definitely adds to any casual outfit. Pancakes, bacon, french toast…. uh-oh, I’m getting hungry! Time for brunch!!

Hey Loves! Thanks for stopping by my blog. Sorry I’ve been a little MIA. October has been such a busy month and getting blog shoots done has been a bit of a challenge. But, I’m back. Are you sick of me wearing fringe? Too bad, lol. These shoes right here? Great dupes to the Schutz “Kija” fringe heels and I adore them. I wish they came in gray, but only this gorgeous brown and purple were available. Steve Madden has been after my pockets this season. So many affordable dupes out there that I cannot pass on. I feel like I’m a walking advertisement for them because I’ve been buying so many of their shoes lately.

So, Steve Madden if you wanna hire your girl, I’m down! 🙂

Fall Inspired Makeup!!

Hey loves! If you can tell by the title of this post, I am celebrating my 6 month blogiversary of my blog, Alwayz Fashionably Late!! I can’t believe that I finally started my fashion blog and have been going strong for six months!! It’s unreal!! I’ve rounded up for you my favorite top ten blog posts as a look back from where I got started. Please click on the links and take a look in case you missed it!

When I first decided to start a blog, I was so fearful. I was nervous about the response I would get from those who know me, people who didn’t know me and what people would think of me blogging. I’m a very private person, I have a select group of friends and I don’t open up much to those I don’t know. As my mother would to say, “keep living and you’ll learn!” I never understood what that meant until I got older, but basically I’ve learned along the way that quality over quantity is key with relationships with others and I prefer it that way. But, starting a blog is opening myself up to others I don’t know. How and why would I do this?

Well, I knew how much I really felt inspired by other fashion bloggers because I could relate to them simply based on their style. You almost feel a little connected to bloggers you follow because they are letting you in on a piece of their life. Not everything is picture perfect as it seems, but you feel connected with others over the images they share that simply inspire you. So I thought, why can I not be that individual that inspire others? Maybe its high time I break, just a little, my shell and put myself out there and at least try.

Well, I tell you what, its been an amazing six months of blogging! I’ve met awesome bloggers, photographers, learned so much about the business of blogging and opened myself up to the possibility of making new friends who understands what this blog life is about. Its not easy! In case you didn’t know, it takes a lot of work! But, living in Dallas, I feel like I have an advantage because of so many great local bloggers, organizations and photographers are right here that I have worked and networked with that have made this journey so much easier.

I would like to thank you, my readers for the encouragement, sharing with friends and just for being you! I am definitely grateful and excited for bigger and better things to come. Of course, I have to thank my hubby for being so understanding and letting me do what makes me happy! Ok, enough of my thank you’s! I can’t wait to see what the next six months will bring to my blog!

Farewell Sweet September!

Hey Loves! Don’t you love it when things come together so easily? Thats how this casual fall outfit happened. I was planning to wear it for a blog shoot earlier this month but that didn’t happen. So I decided to wear it to the Blog Conference I was telling you all about and it was well suited for the occasion. Comfortable, pulled together and edgy, just how I like it! As I rushed to get ready, I grabbed the jacket and wedges and ran out the door. Once I put the jacket and shoes on, I was thrilled that it looked great in my haste. These are the moments we all hope for am I right? Lol.

As always, I wish you all a good week. September is basically over and I am ready for the month of October. October is always action packed for me! It’s my wedding anniversary (October 3rd to be exact), my father’s birthday and my husband’s birthday. I’m looking forward to spending some time with these special men in my life that I am truly grateful for!

Hello everyone!

Hope you had a fabulous weekend! I’m loving this laid back look today. If you are not aware, army green is HUGE this year as a “FALL 2015 Trend.” I’ve always loved army green! So I am super excited to see so many great pieces out there to add to my wardrobe. I figured I would show you my typical casual outfit that you may find me out and about in. No, I’m not always in heels! But, I still like to add a bit of edge to my outfits, so the jewelry and rose gold loafers does just that! I spotted the loafers on my friend and asked her where she got them from. You would not believe it! I quickly stalked them and bought them! I’m sad to say the purse is VERY old, so you may only find on Ebay. But, it is by far my most favorite bag EVER in my collection! You know how they ask if there were 5 things you would bring with you on an island? This bag would be one of them 🙂

As I told you, I attended the Blog Elevated Conference here in Dallas over the weekend and it was a treat! It was great to be in the company of fellow bloggers who are trying to make a positive impact to their audience and are passionate about their blog. For those of you out there who want to blog and don’t know where to start, get online!! See whats happening in your area! There are tons of resources out there to learn more and this is one of them!! You can also ask me! I’d love to share my experiences and let you know the do’s and don’ts I’ve learned thus far!
