Hey Loves!

A jumpsuit is something every girl should have in her closet. It’s so super simple to throw on! You can wear a jumpsuit with heels, flats, layered with jackets or blazers. So many possibilities and ways to extend your wardrobe. Not only that, but it just provides a sleek, chic look that every fashionista needs! I love this one from “Love Verity,” it has a linen feel to it and is super light weight and under $60!! I paired it with these bright, red fringe beauties that pulled the look together perfectly. You can even wear this to work as it provides an office appropriate vibe. Gotta love that right??!!

I hope you are having a fabulous Labor Day weekend. I plan to sit back and try to relax lol. We are, however, taking pictures for Camille’s Second Birthday this weekend. Yes, her birthday was a few weeks ago. But, when we tried to schedule the shoot we had to cancel due to the rain. Hey, better late than never right! I am looking forward to how they turn out. Camille has two super cute outfits that we are hoping she will allow us to take her pics in lol. But, the real problem is mommy has no clue as to what I am wearing! I was just at the mall today! Now why didn’t I think about that. I hope I can come up with something nice!

How are you celebrating Labor Day weekend?

The lace up top trend is becoming a new favorite of mine! I love little details that can make a top or skirt more unique. Well, this lace up top I scored for only $12.99 definitely makes the cut! I saw this beauty on Instagram (I swear Instagram gets me in trouble) and HAD to have it! This shirt is soooo soft and comfortable. You can adjust the strings to wear it as loose or tight as you like. I think its super sexy to have your bra peaking through. Especially, if you have a little lace bralette like this one! I love unexpected touches like that, don’t you?

I am soooo looking forward to this three day weekend coming up. Last weekend I was husband and mommy free! The husband went to Miami for a “Boys Trip” and Camille stayed with Nana for the weekend. Oh the joy it was to have the house to myself! To not be needed or interrupted. To have peace and quiet! It was amazing! I treated myself to wine, pizza and a night of pampering. It was so needed. When I had Camille, I knew life would never be the same. But, what no one can prepare you for is how tired you will be. Like all the time! The older she gets, the more active she is. Apparently, I need to take a vitamin or two to get all of the energy she has. Pair that along with work, blogging and household duties, I’m spent at the end of the night!

Although I thoroughly enjoyed my weekend, it was nothing like seeing Camille face when she first saw me when I picked her up. It made my heart smile. I missed her so much! No matter how tired I get or the amazing time I had alone this weekend, its nothing like being her mommy. She makes it all worth it! I just love my little angel face.

What do you have planned for this three day weekend? I think I’ll clean a little and lay around a lot. Or as much as Camille will allow me 🙂

See you soon!

Black women bloggers. Yes, we are out there! We are beautiful, strong and we have a voice! We offer something unique, different and amazing to the blogging world. Its always a beautiful thing when we, as Black women, are able to support, empower and encourage one another in this industry. The blogging world is highly oversaturated and can be hard to stand out amongst others. But, don’t you worry. We know our worth!! So, to join together and show the world who WE are AND the “amazing-ness” of Black Girl Magic, is a BEAUTIFUL thing! Don’t you agree?

My fellow fashion blogger friend, Melody of Blingaholic88, was inspired by these dapper, handsome black men from “The New Stereotype. You may have seen this linked image on the Internet streets as its gone viral. The movement was created to change the negative stereotype of Black men in America. And we all know, there is too much of that! These men are BRINGING IT!! I was super excited to be a part of this collaboration with these amazing, black women bloggers. These women cover everything from fashion, lifestyle and DIY, model coaching and natural hair. All right here in Dallas!!

So be sure to stop by these ladies blog and check them out. Support us! This won’t be the last you will see of us out in these streets. The best is yet to come!!

Tell me, what do you love about this collaboration?
