Hey loves!

Well, I am 37 weeks pregnant! I can’t believe how fast time is flying. It seems like I just announced to you all I was pregnant back in January! Pregnancy has a way of being beautiful, amazing and awful and dreadful all at the same time. Lol, I was so sick up until about 20 weeks pregnant. I also ended up with the flu and a sinus infection too. Oh, and diagnosed with gestational diabetes. Yeah, these past 9 months have not been so lovely. However, I’d do it all again just to have my little baby here with me.

Motherhood has a way of giving you a new outlook on life. You guys already see how I am with Camille. She is my shining joy and I don’t know how life would be without her. I am terribly nervous about having a second child because all Camille knows is being an only child. Thats all we know too as her parents. The adjustment I know may be a little difficult. But, she is SUPER excited to become a big sister! Just the other day she told me her baby brother is coming on Father’s Day. Now, I am not due until June 30th, but does she know something we don’t? I guess we’ll find out soon!

Last week I started experiencing Braxton Hicks contractions which I did not experience in my last pregnancy with Camille. It was not a fun experience let me tell you! Also, I have been dealing with a leg cramp for the past four days too. So far, I am only 1 cm dilated, but as we know with any pregnancy, things can change quick! I had Camille at 38 weeks so I am keeping in mind that Xavier may come early as well. Eric and I decided to place a bet on when Xavier arrives. I said by the 20th, Eric is betting on the 24th. Please cross your fingers that I win! I requested that he cleans the kitchen for a month! Lol.

As time is winding up with my final pregnancy, I’ve decided to spend these last few weeks trying to enjoy some time to myself. Just quiet time reflecting and enjoying the peace and quiet around me. I plan to take myself to breakfast, finish reading a book, grab a coffee at Whole Foods in the morning. Just simple things that I usually take for granted on the days Camille goes to school. When Xavier gets here, those days of having time to myself alone will be far and few. Although him and I will have our bonding time which I am excited about, I still want to enjoy those little moments of just me. Alone in my own thoughts or reading a book dreaming up the characters and plots, deciding how the story will end. Do you guys have those moments where you just enjoy being alone? I sure do!

But, lets discuss this Free People dress!

It’s simply a head turner. I’ve gotten so many compliments and stops/stares at this dress. My friend Renae from Renae Style Diary wore it when we were out taking pics of each other for our blogs. She had it in white and told me she found it at Marshalls for $40!!! I fell in love with hers as soon as I saw it. Just my luck, about a month later I saw the dress at Marshalls but in this gorgeous purple shade. I am wearing a size medium, so I have some room for the belly. It is a short dress, so I put on some denim shorts underneath. However, you can wear it as a cute mini dress just fine. I am sure a small would probably fit me better once I am no longer pregnant. If you can’t find this dress at your local Marshall’s, I was able to find it for you in blue!!! Its linked above!! Grab this dress quick as there are only a few sizes left!!! I am considering getting the blue one myself!

**Updated to add: I found the dress in purple but not for the price I paid, I also found it on eBay for a little less. Its linked  above too! **

So, whats to come with AFL blog in the next few weeks?

I hope that I can get in a few more blog posts before he arrives. Sunday I’ll be sharing with you whats in my diaper bag and maybe another style related post for next week. Thats if I can fit anything at that point.  When he does come, I don’t think I will be able to post as often as I would like. Of course, I will be adjusting to my new normal. But, the blog will still go on! Just give me some time to get settled in and adjusted.

Also, have you seen Xavier’s Little Man Cave Nursery reveal? If not, be sure to click the link! I am so thrilled that it came out as wonderful as it did. I can’t wait to hold him and rock him to sleep in his room. So many sweet and crazy moments are to come. I am excited and grateful for all of them!

You guys, I am so excited (and relieved) to finally share with you the gender reveal of our little blessing!! These past few weeks have been rough. Pregnancy is wearing me down and honestly, I just didn’t have the will to plan anything elaborate with this gender reveal. I had the flu over a week ago and it really wore me out. This past week I am trying to return back to normal and get back in the swing of things. Including blogging! But hey, sometimes we just have to take time out and get our mind and bodies, Amen?!

Anyhoo, I found out the gender of our baby on my birthday, January 15th!! My husband, Eric, was a bundle of nerves as he really wanted a boy. He kind of wanted to be surprised this go around with the gender reveal, but my planner brain will just not allow me to be so spontaneous. I admire those who can go the full nine months without finding out the gender. But, not this girl! I really was hoping for another girl this time around. I mean I have tons of Camille’s clothes from when she was a baby. We barely gotten rid of any of her baby clothes because I wanted baby #2 to wear them again. Not just for convenience, but I simply adored them and wanted to see them on my little one, one more time!

As you can see from the pictures, God has blessed us with a little boy!!! You guys, I have no clue how I am meant to be a boy mom. Everything about me is so girly, I just can’t imagine a little rough and tough little boy. But, I am so excited to meet him and hold him in my arms for the first time. Like I said, Eric really desired a son. Even though I wanted another girl, I am glad that he is getting the son he always wanted. I know he wants to raise a strong, intelligent man and continue the Green name. So yes, we have one of each! Its so crazy, I am still pinching myself that I am even pregnant with number two and that its a boy! 2017 was such a tough year for us, but 2018 is already starting off great!

Do we have a name picked out?

We are still deciding on a name and have it narrowed down to 3. I won’t even bother telling you now the name choices, because it took us forever with nailing down Camille’s name lol. So keep us lifted on figuring his name out! Camille does feel strongly about one name so it seems like we are leaning towards that direction. We shall see!

Hello Loves!

I am so excited to share this great news! We are expecting our little bundle of joy in June!! I cannot be more excited to share with my readers that I am pregnant. Y’all it has been so hard trying to keep a secret and camouflage this belly. I am so relieved that I can now spill the beans and share with you such an exciting moment in our lives. We have been planning to grow our family by one more and it finally happened! Sometimes we wonder if God hears our prayers and the answer is yes, yes HE DOES!

2017 was such a hard year for my family. We went through a lot! When I looked back over the year, it just seemed like things weren’t going the way we planned. After multiple UNEXPECTED home repairs, trying to get pregnant, my husband and I both having to get new cars a week a part from each other, my dog getting hit by a car and passing away and lastly, the unexpected loss of my mother-in-law in September, 2017 has not been the kindest to us. It was where you kind of questioned if God was taking you through something, to teach you a few lessons? And if so, when was this period of trials and tribulations gonna end? Lol. It was just a tough time. Apparently God had a plan!

Just as we least expected it, I found out I was pregnant in October. Let me tell you, when I took the test I just knew it couldn’t be. I waited a few extra days before taking the test because I just didn’t think it was so. Also, its nothing like a wasted pregnancy test. Them babies aren’t cheap! Lol.  But, there it was! As soon as I saw that positive, I just heard God say this is the light at the end of the tunnel. I couldn’t wait to tell Eric. The timing was perfect,  I gave him the best surprise on his birthday! He couldn’t have been happier.

I am not one to share with everyone as soon as I find out that I am pregnant.  The first trimester is such a critical time, so we kept the surprise from family and friends until I was 13 weeks. It was such a relief and so fun to reveal to the family we were expecting on Christmas Eve. And now, I am finally sharing this with you! I am 16 weeks pregnant and if you want to know how I’ve been feeling…. sick and tired. Literally sick and tired!

How will this change the blog now that I am pregnant?

I plan to continue blogging as usual. But, it has been a little hard not feeling at 100 percent. Also, I feel like I have nothing to wear or nothing that I am excited to wear lol. Maybe its just a mood that I am in. I’ll probably be rocking more sporty looks, because all I want, is super comfy clothes that I don’t have to tug on or adjust all day long. But, I am sure you all would like to see some maternity fashion as well, so I am gonna do my best to share maternity and non maternity looks. I can’t make any promises though, with Camille all I wore was Target t-shirts and maternity pants lol. I’ve got to do better this last go around!

And we just found out today what we are having. I am keeping that a secret until I figure out how I want to reveal the news. I am claiming 2018 to be GREAT and so should you!!
